my youngest son

is yearning

longing

dreaming

wanting

wishing

and praying

for snow

since it wasn’t today

maybe tomorrow

in his eight year old mind

he’s waited long enough

for snowballs

snow forts

snowmen

and snow days 

please God

let it snow soon

for him

I want to see his smile

and join him

in snow play

now I’m prayin’ 

for snow

too
