1. Q: The meaning behind your Tumblr name.

A: The easy answer is that it’s the same as my blog name at My Opera. At the time I chose it, in late March of last year, it felt sort of random, l started blogging on a whim. I chose it because Turquoise is my favorite color, along with peacock blue, teal and other shades of blue-green, and my thoughts and stories sometimes get all tangled up, like my hair after I towel dry it. I took some photographs of myself with tangled up towel dried hair, but I decided not to use them as an avatar, as it dawned on me there were more layers to the name, “Turquoise Tangles”, than I first realized.
