Welcome to Turquoise Tangles, written by Janean M. Baird, an artist, poet, daydreamer and mother to two ornery boys, a dog named Blue, and a cat named Snuggles. Turquoise is my favorite color and the gamut of topics I write about are sometimes all tangled up, so the title dreamed up long ago, a bit on a whim, has stuck. I share stories, poetry, art and photographs from my life.

Turquoise Tangles began at My Opera in March 2011, then in November 2011 expanded to Tumblr and Twitter @turquoisetangle. Suddenly, it is February 2014, and due to My Opera closing all their blogs effective March 3, 2014, I find myself with a new internet presence at Word Press. This is yet another New Beginning, in a season filled with new beginnings.
