For A.T.B., my youngest son, who can Cuddle Me Asleep even against my Best Intentions to Stay Awake and Get More Done before I Call It A Day. His dad Nicknamed him, "Sandman" years ago. That Little Boy can keep his eyes open longer than his Early To Rise Mama who can't help but "rest her eyes" while waiting for him to Fall Asleep First. He never does. Then, when morning comes, he's Smart Enough to Sleep In Past Sunrise.

I never took piano lessons. My grandpa and dad taught me enough to get me started. My grandparents had a piano at their house. We had an organ at ours. At one time I could manage to play all the songs in John Thompson's, "Teaching Little Fingers to Play" piano book. The second song in the book was played with your left hand, starting at middle C, and the words to the simple tune were, "Dolly dear, Sandman's near, Soon you, will be, sleeping".

This Moon Photo was taken in the early morning on April 18, 2011. I wasn't fast enough this morning, when I woke up in the Early Morning Darkness, to take a picture of the Crescent Moon high in the sky, before cloud cover rolled in to cover it up. The sun rose quietly today with a slight glow in a mostly gray sky. Sandman is Still Sleeping.
