Insert Title Here: I danced in the rain today.

It’s been
awhile since
I’ve danced in the

rain
and it was nice,

I suppose.
Though my clothes

are a little damp
and my Converse
canvas shoes

Weren’t meant to be wet

and my book bag
was a bit to heavy.

And I suppose
that if the rain
has not left by

tomorrow

I won’t be too
happy.

I love walking in the rain. We had snow flurries here. Tiny ones. They made me smile.

tough enough

I’m not tough enough

to do this

anymore

my heart hurts

open and raw

filled

with longing

I’m done reading

done writing

screw this

’til morning

maybe I’ll be tough enough

tomorrow

she was a good girl

with just a hint of bad

proper, smart and beautiful

beyond normal beautiful

she was inside beautiful

you know, the beautiful that radiates

and wraps anyone close

and i loved her

and i loved her smile

and her hair and her lilt

and the attitude of carelessness

she was translucent in her beauty

and she was mine

for awhile

and she still makes me smile

like i am right now

no more tears

driving alone

on toward home

full dark has fallen

all around

a Country song

comes on the radio

next thing I know

tears are falling freely

running down my face

I cry at Country songs

what a cliche

sitting in silence now

no more tears
