This is an excerpt from the Trip Journal I kept on our recent vacation to Tennessee and South Carolina from our home in central Illinois. It was written Somewhere In North Carolina while sittin' in the passenger seat of our navy blue van as we headed toward Mt. Pleasant, SC where we were spent four nights on vacation.

Ran my State Farm pen out of ink at 6:17 p.m.
I've been writing with it since 6:00 a.m. this morning.
So much to say/write/record.
One day this spring, while standing in her studio, Angel introduced me to her writing friend, Erin Straza by saying, "This is my friend, Janean. She has a lot of words."
I'd never thought of that before.
I guess I do.
Right now, in my husband's stoic silence and my youngest son's Need For Quiet as he reads and while my oldest son sleeps in the far back of the van, I'm Writing Because I Have To.
It's a channel, an outlet, for the swirling emotions inside me as we face The Great Unknown.
It helps to be Adventuring with my Family of Four.
The family my husband and I made together.
Our Family.

Thank you, Kevin. That little Trip Journal holds so much more. I'll keep typin' and sharin' as I get a chance to. There is A Book Idea nestled there as well. So, we shall see What's Next for me.
