Sunday mornin’

Sunday mornin'
here I am
sittin' in church
Bible in hand
my sons on one side
wearin' jeans with patches
my husband on the other
I glance down and see
my red painted toes
peekin' up at me
He doesn't mind
that much we know
He's just glad we're there
to offer praise
and worship
in His house
on Sunday morning'

A snippet of memory from last Sunday, June 26, 2011, when I glanced down at my boys and I during the morning worship service. Them in their patched knee jeans leftover from the school year that just ended and me in my denim skirt with bright red toe nail polish showing on my sandaled feet.

  1. A precious moment. So sweet, dear. :flirt:

  2. Thank you, Aidia. Usually my younger son is in junior church but last week he just needed the closeness of the rest of us and went to "Big Church" instead. The message was about Heaven. I was glad he was there to hear it for himself.
