The sunrise is pink and purple today. The same colors as the batik leaf t-shirt I put on the dark. What a beautiful gift from God, this splash of gorgeous, rich colors across the morning sky.

Blue and I had a quiet walk this morning. Less traffic noise and fewer joggers on Saturday than the weekdays. The purple petals along the boulevard in the park charm me. We walked atop white petals too. Ah Spring. You’ve been a beauty!

cookie time
My doorbell just rang. When I answered the front door, there was the cutest little Girl Scout standing on my front porch, alongside her smiling mother. The littlest Girl Scout, with a pixie smile, was dressed all in purple, topped off with her vest adorned with patches earned. Of course I bought one more box of thin mints, because I had exactly $4 cash, and they are my very favorite kind.

I had a fun striped sock purple tennis shoe day, while my cowgirl boots are in the shop. No more clomp clomp clomp on the sidewalk either. Now I’m walkin’ my dog, Blue, like a stealthy footed ninja. Best of all, these vivid hued shoes are nearly new hand me downs from my little sister.

My four year old nephew, said to me this morning, “Can you please get my boogers?”
Of course, I was glad to help him and even admit to finding his unusual request, quite charming.
I replied with a smile, “Let’s go find a tissue.”
Once said tissue was held up to his stuffy nose, I added, “Blow.”
*happy smiling good sunrise got some damn sleep my sister is here visiting from Arizona and I’m wearing purple for joy morning here…even with huge dark circles, no makeup and eyes that kinda hurt from yesterday’s tears*

No one noticed the purple clad, brown haired woman, with red highlights recently added, smiling quietly to herself as she walked past, on her way to another field, where her youngest son is playing.
