I very much enjoyed the ISU String Project concert this morning. My oldest son is the violinist third from the left in front. *yes I know he looks like a white and black spec, but it’s him* I tapped my booted toes, smiled my proud mama smile, sang along to The Monkey Song and took the ipad away from my youngest son for the three songs his big brother played.

I’m rockin’ my aqua and brown cowgirl boots
tucked into tapered jeans
got a little jiggle in my walk
the good kind
turned 41 on Saturday
it’s agreein’ with me just fine
Blue is outta the leaves
and off we go

I woulda missed tonight’s hot pink and lavender sunset had I not taken Blue out back to throw the frisbee for a bit. Color was richer and more vivid than shown here. You’ll just have to take my word for what a stunning spectacle it was, for a few brief moments, as the sun dropped toward the horizon line. ~ Janean

I did my best Rock Star impression today by wearing black sunglasses trimmed in animal print, that cover half my face, even while indoors. Glad that dreaded eye dilation appointment is behind me and that the news was good. Normal. *happy sigh*
