HE LIVES

the sun is shining
as we celebrate
the Son rising
…and then
the sun is covered
by a big gray cloud
the clouds are ever changing
yet Heaven is a constant
there is one sky above
home to a never changing
all knowing
ever present God
who sent His Son to die
that we may believe in Him
and have the gift
of everlasting eternal life
in Heaven
when our time on Earth
is through
Thank you, God
for sending Your Son to die
and bear our sins
today, on Easter Sunday
we celebrate and say,
“HE LIVES”

Good Friday

The morning sky was melancholy today.
Quiet and contemplative.
Lots of layers to the clouds.
White and gray interspersed.
Then, the clouds parted and a l’il blue sky peeked through.
Good Friday is a moody melancholy day.
The Crucifixion.
But the promise of Good Friday is, “Sunday’s a comin’!”
On Sunday we celebrate and shout, HE IS RISEN!
So it’s only fitting, for Heaven to be a bit subdued with extra clouds in shades of gray, for even though we call it Good Friday, it is a melancholy day.

Good Friday

This is where I come from.
Sparkly hearts that say, “LOVE” on my parents front door.
They will celebrate 45 years of marriage on February 17, 2013.
Not every year was easy.
The hard ones thankfully few.
Mom told me once, “You don’t divide the love, you multiply it.”
Love Math is her Greatest Gift.
My dad loves GREAT BIG too.
I am theirs.
Forever and always.
This is where I come from.
From my parents abiding love.

December 1, 2011

Today’s the day.

My fortieth birthday.

Glad you’re finally here.

I’m baking a cake to celebrate.

It’s goin’ in the oven soon.

We’ll eat it after supper for dessert.

Taking my boys to school.

Lunch with my mom and sister in law.

We’re The December Birthday Girls.

Goin’ to Red Lobster.

Seeing a friend about some cookies.

They will be the Art Club snack.

Settin’ up for Club.

Makin’ art, with a roomful of energetic children.

My sons included.

Then Home.

For the rest of the night.

It’s going to be A Good Day.

How can it not be?

Family, Friends, Art, Cookies, Cake and Home.

Sounds like The Perfect Day to me.

I’m plannin’ to ROCK forty…

it is The New Thirty after all.

Love,

Janean
